Scott Storey has spent his entire career in the financial services industry advising clients on some of their most meaningful investment decisions.
Prior to founding 3Chopt Investment Partners, Scott worked for a family office leading their investing in the public and private markets. There he allocated capital across a wide range of asset classes including venture capital, private equity, real estate, public equity, and fixed income.
Before working with the family office, Scott was a Managing Director with BB&T Capital Markets advising business owners on their strategic alternatives including mergers & acquisitions and raising debt and equity capital. Previously he worked in Southeast Asia for a not-for-profit entity helping early-stage companies raise growth capital. Scott began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers providing operational and financial consulting services to distressed companies.
Scott is active in the community formerly serving as the President of the Richmond chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and currently serves on the Country Club of Virginia Board of Directors. He also enjoys volunteering for Meals on Wheels, coaching his daughters’ sports teams, running, and playing squash.
Scott received a B.S. in Commerce from the University of Virginia, where he double majored in finance and economics. He also earned an MBA with a finance concentration from the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Scott is registered as an Investment Advisor Representative.
