Mark Levin

Managing Director

Mark Levin serves 3Chopt Investment Partners as a Managing Director and works closely on all aspects of the firm, including investments, client relationships, business development, and strategy.

Mark has spent most of his career in the financial services industry, mostly as an investment analyst. Prior to joining 3Chopt, Mark was a senior analyst on a Merger Arbitrage and Event-Driven investment team at Millennium Management, one of the world’s largest hedge funds. Prior to Millennium, Mark worked as a senior analyst at several multi-billion-dollar, long-short hedge funds, including New York-based Scopus Asset Management and Palm Beach-based Impala Asset Management, a firm run by renowned cyclical investor and former Soros Fund Chief Investment Officer Bob Bishop.

Mark began his career as a sell-side analyst, where he advised institutional clients. Mark has covered a multitude of industries, including but not limited to energy, metals and mining, industrials, transportation, and utilities. During his time on the sell-side, Mark appeared on CNBC and was frequently quoted in Barron’s and The Wall Street Journal, where he was recognized for his stock picking.

With his two children now grown and out of the house, Mark likes to read, travel, and spend time with family and friends. Mark is an avid sports fan, but his first love is baseball. Mark would tell you his “happy place” is at a University of Virginia or Major League Baseball game with his wife, Juliet.

Mark received a B.A. from Bowdoin College, where he graduated summa cum laude and was elected to Phi Beta Kappa.
