Jake DuBois

Jake DuBois serves as Director of Investments and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. He works closely with clients and advisors to design and manage investment portfolios aligned with each client’s goals, risk tolerance, and long-term objectives. Jake is responsible for asset allocation decisions, manager and security selection, and ongoing portfolio oversight, with a strong focus on disciplined research and thoughtful risk management.

Jake has spent his entire career in the investment industry, helping families, entrepreneurs, and institutions navigate complex markets. He brings more than 17 years of experience as an investor, advisor, and entrepreneur, combining deep analytical expertise with a practical, client-oriented perspective.

Before joining 3Chopt, Jake founded Blue Hawk Investment Group, a boutique investment partnership focused on high-quality growth companies, where he served as Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager. Earlier in his career, Jake worked at T. Rowe Price, where he developed a strong foundation in equity research, portfolio analysis, and fundamental stock selection.

Jake earned a B.A. from Emory University and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business.

Jake enjoys golf, basketball, hiking, following financial markets, and spending time with friends and family.
