Jake DuBois

Jake leads 3Chopt’s investment process, with responsibility for asset allocation, manager and security selection, and ongoing portfolio oversight across public and private investments. In addition to overseeing the firm’s external managers, he manages 3Chopt’s internal equity strategy.

Jake brings 18 years of experience across investment research, portfolio management, and asset management. Throughout his career, he has worked with families, entrepreneurs, and institutions to navigate complex markets and make thoughtful, long-term investment decisions.

Before joining 3Chopt, Jake founded Blue Hawk Investment Group, a boutique investment partnership focused on high-quality growth companies, where he served as Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager. Earlier in his career, Jake worked at T. Rowe Price, where he developed a strong foundation in equity research, portfolio analysis, and fundamental stock selection.

Jake’s greatest joy is his wife and three kids. He also enjoys basketball, golf, hiking, and the outdoors.

Jake earned a B.A. from Emory University and an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. He is registered as an Investment Adviser Representative.
